Based out of Chino Hills, CA Restaurnaut sounds like an indie jug band as it revels in playing a unique, hodge podge brand of bedroom pop that is as infectious as it is adventurous. With a ukulele, a drum machine, layers of vocals and touches of keyboard, Restaurnaut's Nick Dolezal creates a brand of lo-fi bedroom pop that has a folk ting at times. Restaurnaut recalls the sounds of Furniture Huschle, Hallf Handed Cloud, and Charlie McAlister, while lyrically it recalls the social mindfulness and political consciousness of Plan-It-X artists in the late 90's. With cassette releases via Almost Halloween Time and Dolezal's own Kerchow Records, Rok Lok is thrilled to give "Birth", recorded in the summer of 2013, the proper release it deserves. "Birth" is comprised of ten infectious, folky bedroom pop tunes which are all packed into C-30 white clamshell cassettes with full color labels and full color numbered j-cards. Limited to an edition of 40.
